TS Sullivant 9


Another round of Sullivant eye candy! 
A while back there was supposed to be a book published with his work.
Unfortunately that never happened, so I hope that these occasional posts will help satisfy the appetite of Sullivant fans everywhere.

    These illustrations are Interesting to look at, did he use pen or pencil?

      While he composed his illustrations with pencil, the final look is pen and ink. Check out previous posts on Sullivant.

    I don't really know why but his way of drawing animals reminds me of Chris Sanders..

      Yes, I suppose Sanders like Sullivant's work very much.

    Love them, I just wish I knew more about current events when the illustrations were published. It would be easier to understand the complete cartoon. I know that is not the focus of this great site, so I don't mind. I definitely appreciate the artistic value of the illustrations by themselves. Too bad the book never got published. I imagine it would have been delightful.
