This is one of the last animation drawings of Mushka as a cub. In the film he appears in three sequences, which are just about finished in animation. It's been a blast but from now on I'll continue animating him as a grown tiger. Quite a few dramatic as well as emotional scenes coming up.
The most recent issue of Animation Magazine features a nice article about the production of Mushka.
Can't wait to see the final animation Andreas!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Can't applaud what you're doing enough
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marc.
DeleteI smile every time I read one of these Mushka updates. I have a feeling it's going to be really good.
ReplyDeleteDo you know what the distribution of this film is likely to be? Will it be limited release, or will anybody anywhere be able to see it?
ReplyDeleteEventually it will be made available to everybody.
DeleteExcellent. And I have to ask, are you also doing the color for the film? That isn't usually the animator's job, so I thought it was an appropriate question.
DeleteGosh...I am doing so much more on this film than when I was at Disney. Directing, story, animating, approving color, recording actors etc. Of course I have help in some of those areas.
DeleteUnderstanding just how much of a homegrown effort this is just makes me more excited to see this when it comes out. Was it November this year when it comes out?
DeleteYou invention this story?
ReplyDeleteYes, together with a couple of friends.
DeleteA great idea, which orignal!
DeleteI can't wait to see this. Of all your art your drawings of big cats are my favorite. I can't wait to see Mushka full grown.
ReplyDeleteThe tiger is male?? Strange name then.
ReplyDeleteDo you know if the article in Animation magazine would be in the April or May issue? I found this photo in one of my old childhood Disney magazines today, you look so young! https://www.instagram.com/p/BFnC84_GRXV/?taken-by=houseofsummersville
ReplyDeleteI am so happy That it is going to be in 2D!
