Sword in the Stone Storybook Art

These incredible storybook illustrations are by Al White, who contributed to many Golden Books for Disney as well as other companies. Just look at these gorgeous colors!

  1. I love these. They are so dynamic and capture whole scenes in a single drawing. And those colours indeed!

  3. Hi. My name is Paolo Franzelletti, I come from Rome, Italy, the most beautiful land in the world; I'm a medical doctor, even though I mostly consider myself an artist (I know, sounds weird, but it’s the truth); I’ve been painting, drawing and animating since I was a child; I did not go to any art school, I’m self taught; animation has always been an important part of my life, so nothing in the world can stop my love for this art form. Now, I’m working on a personal “indie” project; I’m the director, the producer, the character designer, the layout artist, the animator (I basically do everything); I wrote the songs and even the score (Ya, it’s a sort of musical); key poses are drawn by hand; then I digitally draw the inbetween frames to finish all the animation with Clip Studio Paint (was the cheaper way to do this, but I think it’s a good software); I also use Blender and Da Vinci Resolve for compositing.

Here's my showreel, portfolio link, and a sneek peek of a sequence I’ve done. Hope you enjoy; any advice would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Paolo Franzelletti
