Here is another one of those questionaires that someone sent to various artists from the entertainment industry, years ago. Kimball answers them in typical fashion.
I posted Ollie Johnston's answers a while ago:
I love how you could take his name out of the questionnaire and there still would be no doubt about who answered these questions.I wonder what the point of this questionnaire was, but you should go ahead and give us your version.
This is gold. A perfect example of the comedic genius of Ward.
Even though I'm not a fan of Ward Kimball, he does have an eccentric personality in a good way.

There's a bit of a story behind this survey. It was sent by a scumbag businessman who sold autographs. Rather than be upfront about his intentions and pay Ward a fair price for his signature, he sent a letter pretending to be a child who was trying to get answers for a school assignment (I have a copy of the letter too). He sent these types of letters to dozens, if not hundreds, or artists. Someone had tipped off Ward about who the person was, so Ward had a little fun with the scam artist and didn't put his signature on the document. Sadly, this was common. Throughout the 80s and 90s, there were a lot of slimy people who tried to exploit the Golden Age animation artists for personal profit.
Good for Ward!
This story makes it evn better
Oh, wow! Thank you for info!
Thanks Amid! Still hoping for your Ward Kimball book, although I understand the roadblocks.
