Jungle Book Color Sketch

I believe Al Dempster painted both of these visuals for the Counsel Rock scene from the Jungle Book. First the color sketch, then the final background (with the characters cel overlay).

Both absolutely stunning!

    1. Hello, could you post the Rocky Rhino storyboard?
I'm also interested in your article where it says that Rocky inspired Pete the Dragon, is the drawing of Rocky a character model from the 1960s

    1. Rocky was supposed to be a character in the JUNGLE BOOK. Milt Kahl designed him around 1964 before Walt Disney stopped any further development.

Did Frank Fontaine voice Rocky and was the model ready for animation before it was dropped
