Мушка Update

It's been very busy around here, making a movie!
The story of "Mushka" is roughly storyboarded all the way through. It's a great feeling to be able to follow the whole story visually for the first time instead of reading the script.

That's me in a recent story meeting with scriptwriter Myka (sitting) and Matthieu Saghezchi who helped me draw the first rough pass. As soon as we were done sketching this early version, we started on corrections and improving ideas. That process will continue all the way through production.
But the story reel will go up soon, can't wait to see sequences timed out with temporary music and dialogue (there will be very little of that actually).
There are a couple of character designs that need to be finessed….but all in all that's where we are at the moment.
So much fun!!

  3. Great drawings! . Let´s learn from history and this should be documented well, example if this will filmed how you are working, and if there possibility to save all sketches and drawings. So posterity could learn how master worked with animation . :)

If i just have a change, i could be volunteer ;)

    2. hi Andreas,
I third this! I know about crowdfunding, am busy working on a campaign now for a client. I met with the head person in charge of entertainment, Fund Anything and he LOVES animation! Donald Trump is supporting campaigns he likes and will contribute, tweet to over 2 million of his followers.
We can make this happen! I would absolutely LOVE working with you again Andreas!
Let's discuss when you have a few minutes.
I'm so excited for you and your film! Thanks so much for helping the animation community like you always do! =0)

  11. Andreas, It's great to see you and your crew hard at work on what you are best at! The spirit of hand-drawn animation goes on. Any chance you've had some of your former Disney colleagues come in to help out with some of the animation?

I can't wait to see the completed film. :)

  12. Wonderful! Please show more as you move along! When can we expect completion and any way we can help financially with a Kickstarter campaign? Cheers...Mike

  13. You can not imagine how I would like this film to succeed ... and make you happy for the time and illusion that you would have spent.
I would be very happy, Andreas, because in your hands is still live the spirit of Disney art that touched my heart so many times in my life

    2. Neat,I'm guessing it's going to be traditional animated which is cool both traditional and computer have beauty in them. Is this the first short you've made (directed and wrote) or have you've others at Disney.

  20. Good day!
I am very glad that your film developed!
I have been working on the russian animation studio Soyuzmultfilm, our last film was also made in the traditional animation hand-drawn style (also used color pencil shading right on the animation drawings). I have great pleasure to participate in your project as a volunteer, even a small part :) (I'm sorry, maybe you know whether there are international programs for animators?)
    Best wishes,
    Natalia
