Variety recently rated Disney animated Villains. These kind of lists always vary according to who does the rating. But it does feel mighty nice to find Gaston, Jafar and Scar in this top 10.
But....no Stromboli, Chernabog or Shere Khan?
Here are a couple of very rough animation drawings of Scar. My assistant John Ramirez posted them a while ago. I wonder what other kinds of roughs John keeps in his garage.... ;)

Frankly, I'm more surprised that Frollo wasn't included. That guy was one of the most evil and despicable characters Disney Animation had ever produced.
ReplyDeleteJafar should be ranked much higher that 10, the Evil Queen from Snow White should be on there, humans is a wasted slot, and while Izma is great, there are more worthy villians, like Madame Medusa or Hades imo 😊 .
